The PBX provides a data link interface to the Property Management System (PMS) accommodating hotel management features. The PMS can be any computer connected to the PBX via RS-232c or TCP/IP interface. It communicates with the PBX using the specified protocols.

The data link interface allows the PMS to accommodate both front and back office Hotel management features by providing a means of communication between the PMS and the PBX for features such as

• Maid Status
  Room status information (Ex. Cleaning necessary, Cleaned, etc)
  
  
• Message Waiting Lamp Status Change
  Turns Message Waiting Lamp ON and OFF at the guest and administration telephone.
  
  
• Station Message Detail Records (SMDR)
  PBX send all Local, National & IDD call details to the PMS with Date/time, number dialed, duration and etc..
  
  
• Telephone Access Restriction Control
  Allows a guest telephone line to be restricted via entry from the PMS. Activate or Deactivate of DND, Out going restrict, Release both in and out restrictions and etc.
  
  
• Check In / Out
  Send information of the guest name, Language and VIP or Non VIP is checked in. With this feature PBX stored the guest’s name, and when the guest calling the front office or house keeper, name display on the (only Digital) telephone screen.
  
  
• Room data Image
  Transfer a set of status items for a specific room between the PNX and PMS.
  
  
• Wake-up
  Allows a station to be rung at a desired time. Features are wake-up Set, Cancel, Result information, and etc.
  
  
• Room Change / Swap
  Provides a convenient service for instant operation of a room status change which doesn’t involve a guest check-out.
  
  
• Room Occupancy / Room Data Change
  Convenient way for the PMS to change room status data in the PBX.
  
  
• Direct Data Entry
  Allows the text to be reported from the PBX to the PMS by dialing a special number from a guest room station to input data to the PMS.
